David and Mephibosheth
1. And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?
1. David dit: Reste-t-il encore quelqu`un de la maison de Saül, pour que je lui fasse du bien à cause de Jonathan?
1. Ary hoy Davida: Mbola misy sisa ihany va ny ankohonan' i Saoly, mba hanehoako fahamoram-panahy aminy noho ny amin' i Jonatana?
2. And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.
2. Il y avait un serviteur de la maison de Saül, nommé Tsiba, que l`on fit venir auprès de David. Le roi lui dit: Es-tu Tsiba? Et il répondit: Ton serviteur!
2. Ary nisy mpanompon' ny ankohonan' i Saoly, Ziba no anarany. ary rehefa nantsoiny hankany amin' i Davida izy, dia hoy ny mpanjaka taminy: Ianao moa no Ziba? Ary hoy izy: Izaho mpanomponao no izy.
3. And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may shew the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.
3. Le roi dit: N`y a-t-il plus personne de la maison de Saül, pour que j`use envers lui de la bonté de Dieu? Et Tsiba répondit au roi: Il y a encore un fils de Jonathan, perclus des pieds.
3. Ary hoy ny mpanjaka: Mbola misy sisa ihany va ny ankohonan' i Saoly, mba hanehoako ny fahamoram-panahin' Andriamanitra aminy? Dia hoy Ziba tamin' ny mpanjaka: Mbola manana zanakalahy iray izay malemy tongotra i Jonatana.
4. And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.
4. Le roi lui dit: Où est-il? Et Tsiba répondit au roi: Il est dans la maison de Makir, fils d`Ammiel, à Lodebar.
4. "Ary hoy ny mpanjaka taminy; Aiza anefa izy? Dia hoy Ziba tamin' ny mpanjaka: Indro izy ao an-tranon' i Makira, zanak' i Amiela, ao Lo-debara."
5. Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.
5. Le roi David l`envoya chercher dans la maison de Makir, fils d`Ammiel, à Lodebar.

6. Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!
6. Et Mephiboscheth, fils de Jonathan, fils de Saül, vint auprès de David, tomba sur sa face et se prosterna. David dit: Mephiboscheth! Et il répondit: Voici ton serviteur.
6. Ary nony tonga teo amin' i Davida i Mefiboseta, zanak' i Jonatana, zanak' i Saoly, dia niankohoka sy nitsaoka azy izy. Ary hoy Davida: Mefiboseta! Dia hoy izy: Inty ny mpanomponao.
7. And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.
7. David lui dit: Ne crains point, car je veux te faire du bien à cause de Jonathan, ton père. Je te rendrai toutes les terres de Saül, ton père, et tu mangeras toujours à ma table.
7. Ary hoy Davida taminy: Aza matahotra, fa hanehoako fahatsaram-panahy tokoa ianao noho ny amin' i Jonatana rainao, ary hampodiko ho anao ny tany rehetra izay an' i Saoly rainao, ary ianao hihinana eo amin' ny latabatro mandrakariva.
8. And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?
8. Il se prosterna, et dit: Qu`est ton serviteur, pour que tu regardes un chien mort, tel que moi?
8. Dia niankohoka izy ka nanao hoe: Zinona moa aho mpanomponao, izay toy ny alika maty, no mba jerenao?
9. Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master's son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.
9. Le roi appela Tsiba, serviteur de Saül, et lui dit: Je donne au fils de ton maître tout ce qui appartenait à Saül et à toute sa maison.
9. Dia niantso an' i Ziba, mpanompon' i Saoly, ny mpanjaka ka nanao taminy hoe: Izay rehetra nananan' i Saoly sy ny mpianakaviny rehetra dia nomeko ny zanakalahin' ny tomponao.
10. Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.
10. "Tu cultiveras pour lui les terres, toi, tes fils, et tes serviteurs, et tu feras les récoltes, afin que le fils de ton maître ait du pain à manger; et Mephiboscheth, fils de ton maître, mangera toujours à ma table. Or Tsiba avait quinze fils et vingt serviteurs."
10. "Koa ianao sy ny zanakao lahy ary ny mpanomponao no hiasa ny tany ho azy ka hanatitra vokatra mba hisy hanin-kohanina ho an' ny zanakalahin' ny tomponao; fa Mefiboseta, zanakalahin' ny tomponao, hihinana eo amin' ny latabatro mandrakariva. Ary Ziba nanana zanakalahy dimy ambin' ny folo sy mpanompo roapolo."
11. Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.
11. Il dit au roi: Ton serviteur fera tout ce que le roi mon seigneur ordonne à son serviteur. Et Mephiboscheth mangea à la table de David, comme l`un des fils du roi.
11. Ary hoy Ziba tamin' ny mpanjaka: Araka izay rehetra nandidianao mpanjaka tompoko no hataon' ny mpanomponao. Fa ny amin' i Mefiboseta, hoy ny mpanjaka dia hihinana eo amin' ny latabatro toy ny anankiray amin' ny zanakalahin' ny mpanjaka izy.
12. And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.
12. Mephiboscheth avait un jeune fils, nommé Mica, et tous ceux qui demeuraient dans la maison de Tsiba étaient serviteurs de Mephiboscheth.
12. Ary Mefiboseta nanan-janakalahy tanora, Mika no anarany. Ary izay rehetra nitoetra tao an-tranon' i Ziba dia mpanompon' i Mefiboseta avokoa.
13. So Mephibosheth dwelt in Jerusalem: for he did eat continually at the king's table; and was lame on both his feet.
13. Mephiboscheth habitait à Jérusalem, car il mangeait toujours à la table du roi. Il était boiteux des deux pieds.
